Westwood Park Joins the Global STEM Movement

Westwood Park School is one of the pioneer schools in the STEM Clubs Across Africa initiative — partnering with SparkLearn Africa, the Learning Institute for Excellence (LIFE), and a global network of educators and engineers to bring world-class STEM education to the students of Jos. The school's partnership with SparkLearn Africa has already brought STEM workshops and training directly to its campus.

Westwood Park School was founded in September 2003 by its proprietor and headteacher, Mrs. Eleanor Miner — a University of Warwick-trained educator with a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education and Teaching. Located along the Old Airport Road in Jos North, the school has built a reputation for academic excellence and holistic child development.

The school has hosted STEM workshops in partnership with SparkLearn Africa, the Bright Start Foundation, and other organisations committed to raising the standard of science and technology education in Plateau State. Now, as a pioneer school in the STEM Clubs Across Africa initiative, Westwood Park is taking that commitment to a new level.
