An 8-week live online certification programme for anyone who wants to teach STEM, mathematics, and AI to the next generation — including secondary school students from 9th grade (SS1) and up. No prior teaching degree required. Special in-person events in Lagos, Abuja, and Jos.
Whether you are a classroom teacher, a 9th-grade student with a passion for maths, a university student, or a diaspora STEM professional — this programme equips you with the tools, curriculum, and confidence to teach mathematics and AI effectively. Secondary school students from SS1 (9th grade) and up are warmly welcomed.
Fully Online — all 8 weeks of daily classes are delivered live via video link, open to participants anywhere in the world. Special In-Person Events are held in Lagos, Abuja, and Jos at orientation (Week 1), a mid-programme workshop (Week 4), and the graduation ceremony (Week 8). In-person attendance is optional but strongly encouraged for participants in Nigeria.
Each week builds on the last — from the foundations of STEM pedagogy to delivering your first AI lesson. Inspired by the MIT OpenCourseWare approach and the Counting to Calculus curriculum framework.
Every participant receives full access to countingtocalculus.online and dedicated training on how to use it as a teaching tool. This is not just a curriculum — it is a complete digital classroom covering counting through calculus, with AI and ML modules built in.
Understand the full scope and sequence — from counting and arithmetic through algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Learn how to guide any student at any level using the platform’s structured pathway.
Assign lessons, practice problems, and assessments to individual students or whole classes. Track mastery in real time with the colour-coded system: Green (mastered), Yellow (almost there), Red (needs work).
Every topic includes 7 worked examples, 7 practice problems with full solutions, real-world applications, and historical context. Learn how to use these to run engaging, discussion-based lessons — not just drills.
Navigate the Mathematics of AI modules — connecting algebra, statistics, and calculus to real AI applications. Learn how to teach these modules to students at different ability levels, from JSS1 through SS3.
Use the platform’s diagnostic tools to place students in the right ability group on Day 1 and track growth over time. Results are automatically stored and accessible to teachers and parents.
Learn how to use the platform effectively on a mobile phone or tablet with a 4G connection — essential for teachers across Nigeria and Africa. Includes offline-friendly strategies for low-connectivity environments.
Every enrolled teacher and student-teacher receives 12 months of full platform access — including all curriculum modules from counting through calculus, the AI & ML sections, assessment tools, and the teacher dashboard.
This is not a passive course. Every participant leaves with tangible credentials, a teaching portfolio, and a direct pathway into the STEM Clubs Across Africa instructor network.
Classes are live and interactive — not pre-recorded. Every session is taught by Amos Tarfa or a certified STEM Clubs instructor, with Q&A, group discussion, and hands-on activities. Sessions are also recorded for participants who miss a class.
Each cohort runs for 8 weeks and begins on the first Monday of the cycle. Register for the next available cohort — or join the waitlist for a future one.

Every great scientist and mathematician was shaped by a teacher who believed in them. This programme trains the next generation of those teachers — carrying forward a tradition of excellence that stretches from ancient Alexandria to modern Lagos.
STEM Clubs Across Africa is part of an international collaborative strategy for solving practical problems around the world using mathematics, science, AI, and STEM — from Lagos to Los Angeles, from Jos to Johannesburg.
While the full programme is delivered online, three special in-person events bring the cohort together in Nigeria at key moments. Attendance is optional but highly recommended for participants in Nigeria.
Meet your cohort, set up your countingtocalculus.online account, and attend the first live lesson in person. Held simultaneously in Lagos, Abuja, and Jos — all three cities connected by live video.
